Simple Custom CSS is a great plugin to add custom CSS to your WordPress site if you don’t want to use the Jetpack plugin.

When you add custom style code to this plugin, it will overwrite all styles in your theme and your plugin

Make Visual Improvements to Your WordPress Theme

In today’s episode we explore how you can make custom changes to the styles of your website without having to know any code.

This show highlight how I do things with my Chrome browser.

The first way is to user the Inspector. To activate this mode, go to View > Developer > Developer Tools. This will pull up a panel at the bottom of your website.

From there you can use the magnifying glass and select particular a particular element and look at the CSS properties.

Then in the right panel, you can tweak or add to the CSS code. You can adjust margins, font sizes etc.

The second way is to install an extension for Google Chrome called Stylebot. With this plugin you can visually make changes to your site and then copy / paste the generate code into your WordPress site.

      I listen to every episode of your podcast and always enjoy the tips but your suggestion to try Stylebot was especially useful. I just switched to using Chrome as my primary browser and was not aware that this type of extension existed until you mentioned it on your show. You have single-handedly saved me hours of frustration trying to tweak my website.
