Thank Me Later is a plugin that you can automatically send a message to your visitors who leave a comment on your blog. You can set the length of time it takes to respond and provide your commenter a way to connect on social media or send them a coupon code.

Automate your WordPress site with IFTTT

In today’s episode, we look at how we can use a free internet resource called IFTTT to put your blog to work for you. The ideas below are just a few of the things that you can do to automate your online brand.

    • IFTTT is a service that lets you create powerful connections with one simple statement: If this, then that.

Here are some examples of how you can use IFTTT with your WordPress site:

  • Tweet my WordPress blog posts
  • Post Instagram images to your WordPress site
  • WordPress to Google Plus
  • Archive WordPress posts to Evernote
  • Send WordPress Updates to LinkedIn
  • When a new blog post is published add to BufferApp
  • Backup a WordPress post to Google Drive
  • Convert #wordpress blog posts into #pdf using #Printfriendly and store them in #Dropbox
  • Upload a YouTube video creates a WordPress post
  • When an RSS feed is updated, send an email to your assistant
  • Be notified as soon as someone posts their blog post and leave a comment on their site
