Today’s plugin is Editorial Calendar. This plugin will help you visually look and see when your upcoming posts are ready to be posted. You can drag and drop scheduled posts to go out on a different day if you’d like.
Listener Questions
This week a plugin was recommended via the Voicemail line and that plugin is Coming Soon Plugin. Great way to easily create a landing page for a site that’s coming soon!
Ryan writes in from the Law Abiding Biker and is wondering why his site backup file is so large. He actually solved the mystery himself and shared what caused the large backup in an additional voicemail.
Multiple Domains
Option #1 – Multiple Installs
- Pros
- Sites can have completely different looks
- Sites can use different plugins
- Cons
- Install a new version of WordPress for each subdomain
- Manage each subdomain
- Update core / plugins individually
- Need to have a server that can house more than one site
Option #2 – One Installation of Multi-Site

- One installation of WordPress
- Only need to update core / plugins once
- Plugins can be used on all sites
- Easily start a new subdomain with virtually no work
- Cons
- Slightly more complicated to set up
- Extra Network Admin dashboard
- Themes are available for all sites on network
