What if a theme developer never updates a theme? I dig into that question on this show.

Call To Action

      Dustin – Another great podcast.
Have you come across a feature (or plugin) that shows the internal links within a WordPress site’s pages and posts? Perhaps in a tree format? I’ve got a site that’s grown so much over the last couple of years I’m finding it impossible to keep track of internal links.
      Thanks, Ed

Edward Long No I haven’t, but I will bring this up on an upcoming show and see if anyone from the community has any suggestions.

Hey Dustin.  I’ve been thinking of cleaning up the look of my category pages to make them easier to navigate.  Would there be a downside to just using WPquerygenerator to build new pages and that are more custom designed.  I don’t know a lot of CSS so I’m thinking new pages would just be easier.  Then I would link to these from my homepage instead of linking to my category pages.  What do you think?  http://www.physicianassistantexamreview.com  Thanks
Keep up the good work.  I love your show!

Brian Wallace You could definitely do that to make your individual category pages stand out a little bit more. But I’m not sure how nicely adding your own template pages to Thesis is. But you’ve got the right idea. Go for it!

      Hello Dustin,
This one has me stumped!  My visual editor works wonderfully on my test wordpress site and not at all  in my production web site.
Been meaning to post this question to you and in this podcast you actually talk about the visual editor.  My main wordpress website does not properly launch the visual editor.  When I try to launch the visual editor, a window opens in the bottom left hand corner and is not accessible.  Naturally, my test web site works perfectly.  I’m stumped, spent hours trying to figure it out and use the text window  to create my pages (because it works).  Everytime I upgrade to the latest WordPress version, I am hoping that this will fix itself and so for not luck.
Sharing my pain with you … would you have any insight on this?

QuiltMoxie Couple of questions. Is you dev site on your same server or on your computer? Have you tried turning off plugins to see if that helps? Or switching to the twentytwelve theme?

dhartzler10 QuiltMoxie  I followed of the instructions on wordpress.org – turning off each plugin one by one until barebones.  I did not do the twentytwelve theme because it is a productions web site.
The test web site and production web site are on the same server.  One difference is that the production web site is an older install and upgraded to the latest wordpress version.
Perhaps there is a way to install a full version of the editor for wordpress?
