How do I create a landing page inside my theme?
There are two different ways to do this. First you can install a plugin like Premise or you can hire a developer to go in and create a custom page template.
Main Topic
Today’s episode is another one that highlights several guests sharing with me the different tools that they use to keep their WordPress websites up and running.
If you’d like, you can listen to Part 1 and Part 2.

Hi all –
May 8, 2013Always like hearing what others are using. Will have to take a gander at Sublime text 2.
Adam Silver I think you’ll be impressed with how fast it is! I’m going to see if I can be a ninja like Justin and enable SFTP through it!
May 8, 2013Thanks for having me on the show dhartzler10 !
May 8, 2013I really enjoy learning what other developers are using and the opportunity to share my own tools as well. Another one that I always forget to mention when I am discussing tools is CodePen.io. It is great for testing out little things before trying to implement them into a site.
Hi Justin,
May 9, 2013Great interviews. Its fun and interesting to hear what other tools people are using. Maybe you could add an interview to the end of each podcast? Maybe ask some other questions too such as their favorite websites to learn WordPress, SEO, Marketing etc…. The online resources they use most frequently… Their favorite tips for WordPress…
Marty
MartyVettel Great idea Marty, however, finding the time to find people and align their schedules is a lot of work. This show alone took me probably 4 hours to put together when typical shows only take about 90 minutes to produce.
May 9, 2013dhartzler10 MartyVettel Thats a lot of time… hmmm maybe set up a survey on the site for your listeners to share the tools they use? Kind of a repository for cool software and websites. Thank you for the great shows!
May 9, 2013I really enjoyed the episode, finding out what tools other developers use is always fascinating. Ever since listening to one of the previous such interviews I have been using Sublime 2. Btw, the beta version of Sublime 3 is out now, I just downloaded it and I think it’s pretty darn good!
May 9, 201310tklz I haven’t had a chance to check out Sublime Text 3 yet, but I’m sure I will someday!
